It was indeed a joyous and celebratory occasion on the 21st of December 2007 at Caulfield Presbyterian Church. The Melbourne East Presbytery led by the Moderator, Rev. Bob Thomas, inducted Rev. Philip Chang into the pastoral charge of Caulfield-Elwood PC. The Occasional Preacher was Rev. Peter Orchard who gave the sermon and solemn charge based on 1 Peter 5:1-10. The service was well attended by nearly 60 persons comprising of church members, friends, visitors and the members of Presbytery.
A special thanks to our past Interim Moderators and especially our current one, Rev. Dr. Botros Botrosdief, for his guidance, encouragement and constant pastoral attention to the congregations over the last 12 months. Also, our gratitude to Rev. Dr. Robert Carner, for his friendship, care and concern over the duration of the vacancy. But all glory and honour goes to Him who has sustained and encouraged the congregation during the vacancy period when we were reminded time and again to fix our eyes upon Him, the Author and Perfector of our faith."
