Discovering GOD

We all know that many of the greatest discoveries in the past have always been the result of accidents or failures. But discovering GOD in our lives will never be an accident. It will always be for a purpose. The existence of a living GOD was totally unknown to the ordinary Abraham until GOD revealed HIMSELF to him for purpose - to become a great nation (Genesis 12:2). By faith, Abraham received what GOD had promised even though he didn't know where he was going (Hebrews 11:8). The Apostle Paul on the other hand was brought up in a great city of Tarsus under a great teacher Gamaliel (Acts 22:3), yet when he discovered CHRIST on his way to Damascus, that event changed his life for GOD'S purpose (Acts 9:1-15). Paul considers everything that he had acquired a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing CHRIST JESUS (Philippians 3:7-8).
