Superstition is Idolatry

The coming of the New Year brought in the world's best fortune tellers and psychics to display their predictions. Sadly, many of us still tend to put our faith and hope on such superstitious beliefs just to bring luck and protection on our side. The bible strongly forbids any forms of idolatry and as Christians, we are strongly warned not be captives of hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on CHRIST (Colossians 2:8). Manasseh, the King of Judah followed such detestable and evil practices. He by built altars to false gods, sacrificed his own son in the fire, practiced divination, sought omens and consulted mediums and spiritists and these angered the LORD (2 Kings 21:1-6).
