We enthusiastically give thanks to GOD for HIS material and financial blessings but always forget to thank HIM for HIS Spiritual blessings. Yet we are always reminded that we should give thanks to GOD for everything (Ephesians 5:20) and in all circumstances (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Job was an upright and blameless man who feared GOD and shunned evil (Job 1:1). Satan thought that Job was only thankful because the LORD had blessed him abundantly. GOD then allowed Job to be tested (Job 1:9-12). Despite losing everything he had, Job continued to praise GOD. (Job 1:20-22). Paul, despite being materially destitute, delighted in GOD'S grace that sufficiently sustained him during his great difficulties for CHRIST'S sake (2 Corinthians 12:9-10).
