To wait upon the LORD is perhaps one of the most difficult things to do for us Christians. It only not requires a lot of patience but an equal amount of perseverance, hope and faith. Yet sometimes, waiting for the LORD to act can take a lifetime. But GOD'S promises are always a YES for those who are faithful to HIM and surely GOD will act in HIS perfect timing. Our life as Christian does not rely on some wishful thinking attitude but rather on HOPE - a confident expectation that GOD will act for those who patiently wait for HIM. Simeon dedicated his life waiting on the LORD to act and gloriously received GOD'S answer. He praised GOD for answering his prayers when he saw salvation through the CHILD JESUS at the temple (Luke 2:29-32). His wait was never in vain - even in his old age! And if you wait for GOD to act, like Simeon, our wait will never be in vain.
