Praying For Our Leaders

Many Christian countries these days are desperate to have good and godly leaders running their nations and their people. But we can never achieve a godly government or nation without the majority of the citizens praying for anointed leaders. When Israel demanded for a king, this displeased GOD for HIS people had rejected HIM as their KING (1 Samuel 8:6-7). They even refused to listen to Samuel yet GOD told him to listen to the people and to give them their king but HE warned them the kind of king he would become (1 Samuel 8:9-21). As GOD said, "They set up kings without MY consent; they choose princes without my approval." (Hosea 8:4). No matter how bad a nation is ruled and governed, every Christian individual is commanded to submit to governing authorities as they too are also established by GOD (Romans 13:1). Let us continue praying for them.
