GOD is more interested in the small things that we do for HIM obediently. Because man looks at the big and glamorous things in life, we tend to ignore and neglect the small things that GOD wants us to do. Remember how JESUS fed the multitude out of 5 loaves and 2 fishes when the disciples actually saw that it would take 8 months of their wages to feed the crowd (Mark 6:35-37). Yet the GOSPEL is encouraging us that if we have a faith as small as a mustard seed, nothing will be impossible (Matthew 17:20). John the Baptist may have lived a simple life but he obeyed what he was told to do by preparing the way for the LORD (Matthew 3:1-4). It seemed to be a short-lived, very ordinary and simple task in the eyes of man that even John himself was left pondering in prison yet JESUS assured him that his work was never in vain (Luke 7:18-28).
