Love is a command. We don't have to like everyone or to be yoked with unbelievers or wickedness (2 Corithians 6:14) but still we are to love one another as JESUS loves us (John 13:34), We are even encouraged to love our enemies, to pray for them (Matthew 5:44) and above all to forgive them as many times as possible (Matthew 18:21-22).
